I am making 2011 the year for knitting from stash as I have Garment Quantities of many yarns as well as more sock yarn than I can knit in a couple of years.
Alongside the Super Special Six Pattern Sock Club I will be trying to have a steady stream of cardigans and T's on the go as well as a few shawls. It might be ambitious but setting up a schedule will help me make some progress.
I will be cataloguing the garment quantities of yarn leading up to New Years in the interests of transparency. If I say I will do it I will likely do it (or most of it at least).

I am in the same boat! I think I will do it too! Although I might allow myself one garment of new yarn. Just in case...
i'm with you Jody. In previous years when I've said this I've realised part way through I don't have enough for a garment or two, just odd skeins. This year is quite the opposite of that. I'm with you.

I love the idea of knitting from stash, but I think I need to do a stocktake to see how realistic it is. Or maybe that's just an excuse. Of course I have enough yarn to keep me happily knitting for the year, even if I have to be a bit flexible about what I choose to knit.
Maybe I just need to think a bit more about this before I really commit.

I'm going to knit from stash and try to swap existing stash for any yarn I need.
